A 24-core fiber optic distribution box is a weatherproof outdoor enclosure that terminates a feeder cable and distributes up to 24 individual fiber cores to drop cables in FTTH deployments. This IP65-rated model from BRAY-CT (BC-B-FDB-24-A02) is built for wall-mounted installation on building facades, where it receives the incoming feeder cable and routes connections to apartments or offices.
The 340×260×110mm enclosure uses UV-resistant PC+ABS composite with UL94 V0 fire retardant rating. Inside, three independent splice trays support SC or LC adapters and up to three 1×8 or 1×16 PLC splitters. The hinged cover opens fully for unrestricted access during installation and maintenance.
Typical applications include FTTH fiber-to-the-home deployments, outdoor fiber termination points, residential and commercial building fiber distribution, apartment FTTH distribution points, building riser access, outdoor wall-mounted access points, pole-mounted neighborhood drop distribution, and PON / FTTx branch deployment.
Installation (4 steps)
- Mark the four mounting positions on the wall or pole using the included template.
- Drill holes and secure the enclosure with appropriate M8 hardware.
- Route the feeder cable through the oval loop cable gland (8–16mm) and the drop cables through the right-bottom port (≤3mm).
- Connect fibers to the SC/LC adapters or splice tray, close the hinged cover — no special tools or curing time required.
